Functional Movement & Pelvic Health

Your Body. Your Wisdom. Your Healing.

Your body has a unique history, and your movement practice should reflect that.

Through personalized functional movement education, I help women develop greater awareness, coordination, strength, and confidence in their bodies. My approach integrates Restore Your Core® principles (e.g. breathing mechanics, nervous system awareness, and progressive movement) to support whole-body function.

We begin by exploring your experiences, concerns, and goals. Through observation of breathing, posture, mobility, and movement patterns, we'll develop a clearer understanding of how your body organizes movement.

From there, private sessions focus on practical exercises and movement explorations tailored to your needs, with manageable practices to integrate between sessions.

My approach is collaborative, individualized, and grounded in curiosity rather than correction.

  • Persistent lower back or hip pain

  • Difficulty maintaining comfortable posture

  • A belly that bulges or domes during exercise

  • Feeling weak or unstable during physical activity

  • Abdominal separation (diastasis recti)

  • Leaking urine when coughing, sneezing, or exercising

Is Functional Movement Right for You?

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • Difficulty controlling bowel movements

  • Constipation or difficulty emptying your bowels

  • Pelvic pain or pressure

  • Pain or discomfort during sex

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Frequent bloating or abdominal discomfort

Whether you're recovering from childbirth, navigating changes in midlife, or simply feeling disconnected from your body, functional movement education can help you explore how your body moves and responds to everyday demands.

You don't need to be recently postpartum—or to have experienced pregnancy at all—to benefit from this approach.

How to Get Started

Initial Consultation (30 minutes | $70)

Our first step is to meet virtually to discuss your health history, concerns, and goals. This conversation helps us determine whether my approach is appropriate for your needs.

After booking, you'll receive intake forms to complete and policies to review and acknowledge before our appointment. I'll review your information in advance so we can make the most of our time together.

Your consultation fee is fully credited toward your initial assessment if we decide to move forward together.

If we've already connected and mutually agreed that working together is appropriate, the consultation requirement may be waived.

Functional Movement Assessment (90 minutes)

Once we've determined that we're a good fit, we'll schedule a comprehensive movement assessment.

Together, we'll explore your breathing patterns, posture, spinal and pelvic mobility, gait, and movement coordination. This provides a foundation for understanding your movement habits and identifying opportunities to improve function.

Following the assessment, you'll receive a written summary of findings and recommendations for moving forward.

Personalized Movement Sessions (60 minutes)

Private sessions build on what we discover during your assessment.

Through individualized movement education, we'll explore breathing mechanics, mobility, coordination, and progressive strengthening based on your needs and goals.

You'll receive practical exercises to integrate between appointments, supporting continued learning and progress.

Your Body Has a Story

Pregnancy and childbirth ask extraordinary things of the body. As a baby grows, the abdominal muscles stretch, the pelvic floor responds to increasing pressure, and the body adapts its posture, breathing, and movement patterns to accommodate these changes. Childbirth brings its own physical demands, and recovery is rarely as simple as returning to the way things were before.

Yet women are often expected to simply “bounce back,” with little guidance on how to reconnect with their bodies or rebuild strength and function.

For some, the challenges don't end after the postpartum period. Years—or even decades—later, they may still be navigating back pain, pelvic floor symptoms, abdominal weakness, or a persistent feeling that something just isn't right. Others experience similar challenges following injury, illness, or the physical changes of midlife.

Many women have spent years pushing through discomfort, trying exercises that haven't helped, or seeking answers without finding lasting relief. It's understandable to feel frustrated, discouraged, or even hopeless when your body no longer responds the way you expect it to.

But these experiences don't mean your body has failed you.

Our bodies adapt to the demands placed upon them, sometimes developing patterns that continue long after those demands have changed. Through greater awareness, intentional movement, and progressive strengthening, we can begin to explore those patterns and create opportunities for change.

Healing does not require perfection. Healing begins with learning to listen to your body and giving it the support it needs to move forward.

Client Experiences

“I started working with Angi after a complicated childbirth experience. Having been to several physical therapy providers over the years, including one for pelvic floor, I can say that Angi is the most comprehensive and empathetic. She truly understands my needs as an expert in the field and as a woman who underwent her own journey. Angi always gives practical and thoughtful advice and I am so grateful to her!”

— Caroline, 42

“Angi’s program brought me meaningful results in a matter of weeks– my core is stronger, my posture is better, and my hips and lower back are looser, allowing me to walk more naturally and with confidence. There are so many positives to working with Angi! She is a fantastic coach, very curious, focused on the specifics of your body and the way you are feeling before, during, and after a specific movement. She is warm and encouraging while being professional and results-oriented. I feel so much better after working with Angi and will be recommending her to all my friends!”

— Marlene, 38
